a small view into my life _ by _ mark collins

today i say goodbye and thanks to my monitor.

i admit it's weird to feel a atachment to a computer monitor, but let me tell you why i am.
i'm not sure exactly how long it has been, but over three years ago i bought this monitor, the first piece of computer equpment i ever bought, a little while later it was the screen for my first computer which i paid for and helped to build myself(this was when i knew nothing about computers) over the years my computer knowledge has increased and i upgraded my computer over and over. i used to say the only original parts i have left are the computer case and this monitor, now it's just the case.
the time frame that i've had this monitor has been like a chapter in my life, the stickers and such stuck on it are all from somthing in my life and have memories in them, some green tape from a tech crew i was on(my first job), the little stickers off of my friend mitchel's camcorder, from my own camcorder, my digital camera, a super soaker, my cell phone number from a sticker on the box from when i first got the number back with sprint(since finished that contract and moved to cingular, who's contract is almost done).
so basicly this screen what i've done using it and what i've stuck to it, represent a chapter of my life where i grew and changed.
and now with the end of this monitor it's kinda like the chapter is closing. hopefully soon a new monitor will come and a new chapter will begin.
i can't wait to see what happens in this one!
